A Stroll

New Friend

I found this guy crossing the trail while I was on a walk with my parents while they were visiting. After talking to several people at work, it seems that the tarantulas are out in force around here lately. I wonder if it's their mating season.

Here's a picture of the same tarantula with my shoe for scale. Not huge, but big enough for me.
